Privacy Policy

This is the plain-English version. No dense legalese, no hidden clauses. Here is exactly what Poop Profit collects, what we do with it, and what we will never do.
01 What we collect
- Session data you enter. The duration of a session, your hourly wage or annual salary, an optional rating, and an optional count of toilet paper squares.
- Account data, only if you sign in. Your email address, a chosen username, and an optional industry and job title.
- Approximate location. Derived from your IP address to the city and region level only. We never collect or store precise GPS coordinates, and we never ask your browser for location permission.
- Analytics data. Aggregate usage data collected through Google Analytics 4 (see section 4).
02 What we do with it
- Calculate and display your bathroom-break earnings in real time.
- Sync your session history across your devices when you are signed in.
- Aggregate city-level statistics to power the city leaderboard. Your city is combined with everyone else's; your individual numbers are never shown.
- Understand how the product is used so we can make it better.
03 What we never do
We never sell your data.
We never share your wage or salary with third parties.
We never display your individual earnings publicly.
04 Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use Poop Profit. When we send an analytics event that relates to money or time, we send a bucketed range (for example, a wage band like 25_40 or an earnings band like 1_3) rather than your exact figure. Your precise wage, salary, and earnings are never sent to Google Analytics.
If you have not signed in, we use your browser's local storage to remember your session data on your device so your logs are not lost between visits.
Analytics do not load until you interact with our cookie notice. You can dismiss it at any time.
05 Location and the leaderboard
When you log a session, we look up an approximate city, region, and country from your IP address so your session can contribute to your city's aggregate leaderboard totals. This lookup happens server-side from your IP; we do not use the browser Geolocation API and we do not prompt you for permission.
We store only city, region, and country. We do not store precise coordinates. If a city cannot be resolved, the session is still saved with no location attached. A failed location lookup never blocks or delays logging a session.
06 Your rights
- Request deletion. Email poopprofit@gmail.com and we will delete your data.
- Clear local data. Use the in-app Clear Data button to wipe everything stored in your browser.
- Delete your account. Signed-in users can request full account deletion by emailing us at the address below.
